The Foundation
Jugal Kishore Khushiram was founded by the legendary Seth Shri Jugal Kishore Ji Periwal
in Kesrisinghpur, Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan.
Rooted in deep trust with farmers, the firm sourced premium grains and millets directly
from the fields and supplied them across India—laying a foundation of integrity, purity,
and uncompromising quality that continues to guide us today.
The Farming Vision
Shri Narendra Periwal, deeply connected to the land, established 100 acres of farming
and horticulture, adopting sustainable and responsible agricultural practices—decades
before sustainability became a global conversation.
This respect for soil, crops, and farmers remains unchanged.
45,000 Kitchens & a Realisation
While connecting over 45,000 kitchens through the BPCL LPG distributorship,
CA Sunita Periwal observed a troubling pattern—rising lifestyle and digestive
health ailments.
A question quietly took root:
What happened to our daily food?
The Culinary Connection
Neeraj Periwal, co-founder of Auric Mills and a passionate foodie, built and operated
a chain of restaurants across clubs, hospitals, and educational institutions.
Food made from produce grown on the family’s own farms proved that nutrition was no
longer theoretical—it was served on plates, every day.
Global Learning
Ashish Periwal, co-founder of Auric Mills, set up an edible oil extraction plant in
Benin, Africa—producing oil from traditionally grown cotton seeds with zero pesticides
and chemical fertilisers.
This experience reinforced a powerful belief:
Purity is a practice, not a claim.
Return to Roots
Inspired by African agricultural wisdom, the family transitioned back to traditional,
chemical-free farming methods in India.
They worked closely with a trusted network of farmers committed to time-tested practices.
The Birth of Annshala
To address modern lifestyle disorders, Sunita Periwal established Annshala at Jaipur House.
Using the haath-wali chakki, grains were stone-ground slowly for home consumption—reviving
ancestral wisdom, freshness, and digestibility.
Auric Mills Is Born
Legacy meets the future.
Dhruv Periwal, Harvard Business School full-time MBA (Class of 2026), brought together:
• A grain-trading legacy since 1935
• A deep passion for food and nutrition
• Traditional agricultural and milling wisdom
Auric Mills was born—to deliver flour and staples that are pure, alive, traceable,
and rooted in tradition.
